: and are women ready for combat? just ask tammy duckworth. >> well, i didn't lose my legs in a bar fight. >> jim will join the conversation coming up a little later on "morning joe." >>> finally, what does it take to please the stock market these days? turns out quite a bit. apple, get this they released earnings yesterday. despite racking up a $13 billion profit and selling almost 30% more iphone ands nearly 50% more ipads, the company's stock fell 11%. actually, apple stock has dropped off the table since reaching the high of $705 in september. now close to $500 a share. still, apple profits continue to grow. besides, the company has just an astounding amount of cash on hand, $137 billion in cash. you want to know how much money that is? well, it could buy every team in the nba ten times over. 14 billion plus for the nba. they can play the entire gdp of iraq and afghanistan. or, how about this, buy 54 empire state buildings, at $2.5 billion a pop. if they stacked them on top of each other, that pile would be 15 miles high. why that's relevant to you this morning? we have no idea why. we though

's not fablulous, but it's fine. i'm jim cramer and i will see you tomorrow. >>> good evening. i'm larry kudlow. this is the kudlow report. you know we learned today in this solid bull market apple doesn't run the market. even with its crash the dow managed to rise and the s&p 500 was flat. this by itself was very bullish and is part of our still bullish theme here. there was drama in washington, d.c. also, senator diane feinstein declares a goal to dry up the supply of weapons over time. she wants to immediately ban 150 types. she may as well ban the second amendment while she's at it because this is an outrageous over the top stuff. i don't believe it. i'm kudlow. this is the kudlow report and we begin right now. >> first up, old time market highs in sight. the dow iing closer to the 14,000 market. s&p 500 also closing ever so slightly in the green to secure its first seven day winning streak since october 2006. apple took a major bite out of today's market rally. it drops 63 bucks or roughly 12% but it didn't derail the whole market or that unappreciated bull trend that want continues to get

ago when the relationship at least seemed to be improving. and what about under the young leader jim jong-un. he has come into office and has been there nearly a year now and has followed his father's hard line, military force, pulling rockets, missile, satellite, nuclear program into their military program. and that is a bit of a worry. also people who are trying to figure out which way to go forward, it looks like he's trying to prove himself as a young leader and he is young and has old military around him and he's trying to project himself on the world stage. so i think the interesting thing will be is there any hope of resumption of the u.s., china, japan, those talks with north korea and what will be the effect of the south korean president. she has said that she's interested in, again, trying to have a better relationship with the north. it was a relationship that was completely broken off under her predecessor who took a hard line. >> a lot of people think that kim jong-un is doing all of these provocative things to establish his credibility with the military back in north ko
